• Using FileMakers built in IWP functionality which creates html pages on the fly based upon FileMakers layout views. This allows for a quick web distribution but does have its limitations.
• FileMaker can also be used with standard asp/php coded pages using the PHP API or ODBC connection

So in short, FileMaker pro is only limited by your imagination.

To solve the issue you need to go into the field options for all text fields you wish to publish on your website and set the maximum character validation to a value, don’t make the figure too high as you can exceed the limited.

Once you have done this you should be able to call and display text fields without further issues.
